In the third quarter of 2024, Australia's top Photo and Video applications on the iOS platform demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

CapCut - Video Editor from Bytedance Pte. Ltd saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $96.6K in early September. Weekly downloads rose steadily, reaching approximately 45.8K by the end of September. However, weekly active users showed a slight decline, starting from 204.5K in July and ending at 191.3K in September.

Instagram maintained a steady performance throughout the quarter. Its weekly revenue remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, closing the quarter at around $63.6K. Downloads showed a positive trend, ending the quarter at about 25.6K. Instagram also experienced a gradual increase in active users, peaking at approximately 5.2M in late September.

YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream by Google exhibited robust weekly revenue, reaching a high of approximately $738K by the end of September. Downloads climbed steadily towards the end of the quarter, with a noticeable increase to around 24.8K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 12M throughout the quarter.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor, an Australian app, showed a strong performance in Q3. Weekly revenue increased, peaking at about $124.8K in mid-September. Downloads surged in August, reaching a peak of around 18.6K, while active users steadily increased, culminating at approximately 241.8K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Snapchat from Snap, Inc. experienced a consistent rise in weekly revenue, reaching around $202.7K by late September. Downloads also increased, ending the quarter at about 16.9K. Snapchat's weekly active users remained stable, averaging around 2.9M throughout the quarter.
